While she once traveled the world as a fashion model, her sense of humor led her to become an alumni performer at Second City Toronto at nineteen years old. Monika's adept knowledge of the craft of improv granted her opportunities to teach and write Long-Form curriculums in both America and China. When asked if comedy translates in foreign countries, she says "all of us laugh at a fart." But don't take that retort to mean her comedy is lowbrow. Quite the opposite. Monika is sharp, and witty, and can bring an audience to uproarious laughter with one succinct quip. In fact, she shares a moment where her improvisation of a one-line co-star audition led to a guest star recurring role opposite Sir Patrick Stewart on the TV series Blunt Talk. If you're an improv nerd you'll geek out on this conversation. If you know nothing about improvisation you won't feel left out. Living with an autoimmune disease all of her life, Monika has found a way to educate the masses with the upcoming podcast "SICK" to be released in February 2021. Imagine being told by a physician you're too pretty to be sick, leading to a road of constant misdiagnoses. It's time the world hears the plight of those living with an autoimmune disease. https://www.tiwanafloyd.com https://www.instagram.com/lifebytiwana/ Shot: Zoom During the Pandemic Edit: Adobe Premiere Pro Music: RipL #TiwanaFloyd #MissMonikaSmith #CreativesinQuarantineSeries
